Obituary of Charles Nave

Charles G. Nave, 71, of Zion, IL, and formerly of Clearwater, FL, died on Monday, April 15, 2013, at St. Catherine's Hospital, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Charles was born December 5, 1941, in Atlanta, GA, and married Doreen Neilly (whom he met in Scotland) on May 20, 1963, in Clearwater. He was retired from the United States Navy and after his retirement he worked as an engineering instructor at the Great Lakes Naval Base. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doreen Nave; sons, Scott (Julie) Nave of Island Lake, IL, and Robert Nave of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren, Jena Byrne and Cameron Nave; sister, Susan Nelson of Lake Wales, FL; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Granville and Evelyn Nave; and brother, James Nave. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Friends may greet the family on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
