Obituary of Rachel Kedrow

Rachel Jean Kedrow, 17, of Zion passed away August 10, 2013 at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Rachel was born January 29, 1996 in Hoffman Estates, and grew up in Zion. She enjoyed attending classes Zion-Benton Township High school where she was in her Junior year. She had also attended Beach Park Middle School and Kenneth Murphy Junior High. Rachel was active in the Christ Community Church youth group and enjoyed spending time at Camp Zion. She loved to sing, ride horses, swim, and read books . One of her greatest passions was not only to watch movies, but to research behind the scenes footage, cast and the crew of the films. One of her greatest adventures in life was when she was able to spend time on the set for the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in Australia. She was also able to spend time with the cast and crew, and visit other parts of Queensland including 3 theme parks. She was also an avid fan of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies. Rachel is survived by her father James (Charlotte) Kedrow; grandmother "Pep" Kedrow, uncle Rick Kedrow and aunt Gerri (Ken) Kutz, grandparents Art and Mary Gramm; uncles Loren (Sandy) Gutwein, ,Frank (Jill) Gutwein and Stan (Andrea) Gutwein; and aunt Carolyn (Mitch) Leman; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kimberly Kedrow; and her grandfather Wilbert Kedrow and grandparents Joseph and Jean Blass. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, with Pastor Ken Langley, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
