Obituary of Lucille Fischer

Lucille Martha Fischer (nee Kruger), 93, of Zion, IL and formerly of Naperville, IL passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011. Lucille was born March 26, 1918 in Congress Park, IL She lived in Naperville most of her life. She was retired from Kroehler Furniture in Naperville, IL. She enjoyed playing bingo, solving crossword puzzles and reading daily devotions. Being a great grandmother was the highlite of her life! Lucille is survived by her brother, Albert Barna of Lisle, IL; four grandchildren: LeNah Klinger, LeNora (Richard) Lambert, LeNette (Diel) Van Haverbeke, and Lewis Fischer all of Winthrop Harbor; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Isom Fischer; great-granchildren Alyssa Lambert, Breanna Klinger, Kendal Livingston, Lindsey Lambert, Jake Lambert, and Delainey Van Haverbeke; and step brother John Schmidt Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber Fischer; her son, Lee Fischer; parents Charles and Wilhelmina Kruger; step parents Michael and Frances Barna; brothers Arthur Krueger, Michael Barna, Edward Barna, Bernard Schmidt; sisters Katherine Barna and Ruth Barna; very special Aunt Honey (Rosaline Mears); and daughter-in-law LeAnna (Congdon) Fischer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17 at 6:00 PM at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, with Pastor Wayne Jahn presiding. Entombment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be held Monday at 5:00 pm at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Memorial donations to Redeemer Lutheran Church have been suggested in lieu of flowers.
