Obituary of Patricia Duensing

Patricia Duensing, 87, of Zion, IL died on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at home. She was born February 26, 1926 in Chicago, was a longtime resident of Mundelein, IL and moved to Zion 5 years ago. Patricia was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include children Bruce (Sue) Duensing of Waxhaw, NC, Lynn Gough Duensing of Zion, IL, and Brian F. (Cindy) Duensing of Winthrop Harbor, IL; five grandchildren Justin (Amy) Savage, and Elyse, Ian, Samuel and Kara Duensing; nine great-grandchildren; siblings Matthew Blondell of Elkhorn, WI, Norman (Helen) Blondell of Rosemont, IL, Thomas Blondell of Chicago, Edward Blondell of Chicago, Ann Nystrom of River Grove, IL, Alice Exley of Missouri, and Joyce Gast of Louisiana; one sister-in-law Helen Duensing of Harvard, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce in 1984; one grandson Matthew; and three sisters June, Mary Ellen, and Nancy. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
