Barbara Clark

1941 — December 31, 2013

Barbara Ann Clark, 72, of Winthrop Harbor, IL awakened to the most glorious day December 31, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 13, 1941 in Louiseville, Kentucky. She later moved to Illinois where she was married 33 wonderful years to David. She was a charter member of The Well Church in Kenosha, WI and often baked her delicious cookies for the members. She retired from Abbott Laboratories, was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Red Hat Ladies and the Dunes Lands Garden Club. While in her free time, Barbara loved to snow ski, golf and sew. Everyone loved her very much and she will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her husband, David; children Dale Clark, Russell (Kim) Clark, Steven Clark, and Connie (John) Clark-Forsett; grandchildren Alex, Chad, Joshua, Kirin, and Jessica; 2 great-grandchildren; a good friend and step-mom Honey Lynn; a dear friend and niece Daryl Albert; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a step-dad William Corbett; and a step-daughter Kay Clark. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Visitation will take place at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
