Obituary of Steve Jecevicus

Steve F. Jecevicus, 86 of, Wadsworth, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 6, 2008, at the home of his nephew, John Jecevicus, in Wadsworth. Steve was born November 14, 1921, in Wauconda, IL, and had resided at his nephew's home for the last 1½years. Before that he lived in Wadsworth for 50 years, working for Imperial Mink Ranch and most farmers in the area. Also he was a great help to Grace Shields (Shields Grocery) in her later years, delivering newspapers and maintaining her yard. Survivors include his sister, Josephine Nauta of Rogue River, Oregon; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Josephine Jecevicus; three brothers, John, Peter, and Joseph Jecevicus; and sister, Stephanie Nelson. A Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. Friends may greet the family on Thursday at the funeral home from12:00 pm. until the time of service.
