Obituary of Norma Lehman

Norma W. Lehman (nee Liddle), 80, of Zion, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in Zion, after carrying the burden of Alzheimer's disease with peace and dignity for 15 years. Norma was born February 21, 1928 in Beach Park and was a life-long member of Christ Community Church of Zion. She enjoyed square dancing but most of all was a devoted wife and mother. Her family includes her loving husband of 62 years, Cal; her children and grandchildren, Connie (Pat) Mattera of Chicago and their children Barbara (Robert) Georges and (the late) Thomas Mattera, Peggy (Rev. Eric) Vaudt of Virginia Beach, Virginia and their children Stephanie (Jeremy) Duffney, Charles (Natalie) Vaudt, Eric (fiancé Meaghan) Hokanson and Ashton Vaudt, and Betty (Vaughn) Kerstetter of Scottsdale, Arizona and their children Courteney Anagnostaras and Nicholas Kerstetter; six great-grandchildren Katherine Georges, Jacob, Anna, Kaitlyn and Calvin Duffney, and Logan Vaudt; and two sisters Carol (John) Hargon of Ft. Worth, Texas and Georgia (Jeffery) Hartmann of Camdenton, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Shirley Liddle and Janet Hartmann; and her parents Malcolm and Anna Liddle. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2008, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18th, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, with Pastors Jon Wiziarde and her son-in-law Rev. Eric Vaudt officiating. Private interment will be held later at All Saints Cemetery in DesPlaines, Illinois. Memorial donations to Camp Zion ministries of Christ Community Church have been suggested.
