Obituary of Rosemary Richardson

Rosemary L. Richardson, 80, of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, surrounded by family at her son's home in Wadsworth, IL. Rosemary was born August 19, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Holy Child High School in Waukegan in 1949 and married Maynard John Richardson on July 28, 1951, in Waukegan. Rosemary was a Charter Member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park. Her employment history includes working for her father's shop, Can Conveyor in Waukegan and then for Johnson Motors, OMC, and Johns-Manville in Waukegan. Rosemary was a proud member of a local card club for 50 years. She enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling with the Zion Senior Citizens Group. Rosemary was also an excellent bread maker. Survivors include her children, Linda L. Wesner of Beach Park, IL, Gregory C. Richardson of Crystal River, FL, Dawn (Keith) Evanson of Beach Park, IL, and Scott (Chris) Richardson of Wadsworth, IL; grandchildren, Terry Richardson, Brandon (Jessica) Antkowiak, Christopher Antkowiak, Eric (Jenni) Wesner, Kevin (Carrie) Wesner, Brittney Evanson and Drew Evanson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (Ken) Reinbach of Ft. Worth, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Maynard in 2006; sister, Virginia Jenkins in 2010; son-in-law, Dennis Wesner in 2010; and her parents, Carl and Germaine Trommer. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park. Final Resting Place will be next to her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL, at a later date. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church. Memorial donations are suggested to Our Lady of Humility Church or the American Cancer Society.
