Sybil Pauline "Polly" Creekmore (Taylor) 74 of Beach Park, IL passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL surrounded by her family and friends. She was born August 20, 1939 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Edward and Velma Taylor. Polly graduated Beauty School in 1960 and worked as a Beautician for 40 years in the Zion area. Polly had a deep abiding faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor. She was loved dearly by family and friends and will be truly missed. Polly is survived by her two children, Terry (Marcia) Creekmore of Winthrop Harbor, IL and Todd (Lisa) Creekmore of Beach Park, IL She is also survived by two brothers, James (Mary) Taylor, Larry (Mary) Taylor a sister, Dorothy "Dot" (David) Dickerson, five grand children, Krista (Chris) Nelson, Katelyn (Ken Sutterfield) Creekmore, Makena Creekmore, Tyler (Brianna) Creekmore and Zack Creekmore and four great grand children, Ryker and Holland Nelson and Kasen and Kamdyn Sutterfield. Polly is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Robert "Bob" Creekmore, four brothers, Cortez, Carlton, Willard, and Murl Taylor, a sister Nell, her parents, two brother-in-laws William and Jerry Creekmore, her in-laws Hersey and Flora Creekmore and step father-in-law Girtie Carnes,. Visitation will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to First Baptist Church, 3001 9th street, Winthrop Harbor, IL have been suggested.
