Obituary of Sara Mann

Sara Lynn Mann, 27, of Winthrop Harbor, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 19, 2008, after an 11 year battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Sara was born September 8, 1980 in McHenry, Illinois. She spent many years out West with her parents before returning to this area to be near her extended family. Sara was a loving mother to her daughter, Taylor Lynn Mann, age 8. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Nancy and Ed Komes of Bullhead City, Arizona; sister, Rachael (David) Rodriguez of Winthrop Harbor; sister-in-law, Preina Davis; sisters Shannon Lasiewicz and Stacy Mann; brother, Michael Mann; aunts and uncles, Karen Saam of Hawthorn Woods, John and Sherry Florian of Ingleside, Dr. Lynn Florian and Allen Wagener of Wadsworth; cousins, Andy and Kelly Saam, Megan Florian and Elaine, Philip and Ryan Wagener; nieces, Brandi and Isabella Rodriquez and Pricilla and Alyssa Davis; nephew, Edward Davis IV; her boyfriend Ahmed Hassan; and her loving grandmother, Marcella Wren. Sara was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Davis III, who was killed in Iraq on April 28, 2006; her maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Florian of Waukegan; and her father, Michael Mann. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 12:00 noon, at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois, with Pastor William Owen of First United Methodist Church of Waukegan officiating and private cremation to follow. Visitation will be Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up to accept donations for her daughter, Taylor Lynn Mann, at Consumers Cooperative Credit union, 3737 N. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, Illinois 60085.
