Obituary of James Williams

James R. "Willy" Williams, 68, of Zion, IL, formerly of Lyndon Station, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL. He was born October 17, 1945, in Baraboo, WI, and married Rose Peckham on August 11, 1973, in Lyndon Station. James worked for OMC in Waukegan and retired in 2001 after 34 years of employment. After retirement he worked for both Leader True Value and Ace Hardware in Zion. James was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Bristol Gun Club and the NRA. He loved boating and enjoyed vacationing in Green Lake, WI with his family. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rose; sons, James R. (Jewel) Williams Jr. of Kenosha, WI, and Brandon Williams of Zion, IL; grandsons, Alexander and Christopher Williams; brother, John Michael (Judy) Williams of Beloit, WI; nephew, Michael Williams; and niece, Chris Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Iris Williams. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL.
