Obituary of Earl Leafblad

Earl Hildemar Leafblad, 84, of Waukegan, IL died April 8, 2014 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion, IL. He was born July 13, 1929 in Mason, WI and was raised in Bayfield, WI. He was a member of Immanuel Church for over 50 years, where he met and married his loving wife, Jean. Earl worked hard and loved working with his family at Leafblad Landscaping. He was a wonderful man who put everyone else before himself and would do anything for anyone. Earl is survived by his children, Mark (Marian) Leafblad, Charles Leafblad and Jana Jones; 4 grandchildren, Shareace (Alphonso) Jackson, Robin Leafblad, Robert (Lakesha) Jones and Grace Leafblad; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Bell; son-in-law, J.J. Riley; sisters-in-law, Delphine Leafblad and Clara Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Jean; daughter, Jina Riley; infant son, Wayne Earl Leafblad; infant great granddaughter, Te'Liyah Jones; parents, Hildemar and Britta; and 9 siblings. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Immanuel Church, 2300 N. Dileys Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031 with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
