Obituary of Raycene Dixon

Raycene P. Dixon, 88, of Beach Park, IL died on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in Zion. She was born May 1, 1926 in Ashland, KY and has been a resident of this area since 1952. She was a former member of Zion Church of God. Survivors include daughter Jacqueline Newton of Zion, IL; one grandson Steve (Jennifer) Newton of Antioch, IL; three great-grandchildren Emma Miller, Briana Newton, and Colin Newton; and a special little friend Drew. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie B. Dixon in 1995; one brother Willard Paige; and her parents Walter and Audrey Paige. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Michael Brown officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, June 18th, at 10:30 a.m. at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
