Obituary of Lillian E. Trygar

Lillian E. Trygar (nee Lindquist), 88, of Beach Park, passed away on July 4, 2016. Lillian was born July 2, 1928 in Waukegan to John and Helen Lindquist. Lived in Waukegan until moving to Beach Park. Lillian was a Girl Scout Leader, member of Altar and Rosary Society at I.C. Church, member of AARP, Ambassador Club of Norstates Bank, volunteer at St. Therese Hospital for many years, and retired from Abbott Labs. She was very efficient at crafts, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Lillian is survived by her husband Henry for over 68 years; children Barbara Grissom of Wisconsin, Michael of Park City, Cynthia Juras of Lindenhurst; grandchildren Stephanie Gagne of Macon, GA, Jennifer Grissom of Princeton, NJ, Jeremy Grissom of Sheboygan, WI; five great-grandchildren; sister Nancy Owens, in-laws Genevieve Tucka, Stan and Martha Trygar, Jeanette Warner, Chester and Sylvia Trygar, Dorothy and Bill Pish, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents John and Helen Lindquist; sons-in-law Alan Grissom and Alfred Juras; daughter-in-law Patricia Trygar; in-laws Jay Owens, Matt and Marge Trygar, Harry and Josephine Allen, John Tucka Sr., Lottie and Frank Krainc, and Dr. James Warner. Family and friends may call on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Mass at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Zion, on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Ascension Cemetery. Donations to Our Lady of Humility Church.
