Obituary of Carl Jackson Nolen

Carl Jackson Nolen born on February 21, 1932 in Sulligent, AL.  Entered into Heaven and into his "New and Glorious Body" in Christ Jesus on May 17, 2017.  Revelation 22:14 "Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city."

Carl loved to sing and play his guitar even when he was far along into the Alzheimer's disease.  Thank you to all who came to listen to him.  Thank you to all of the Brookdale of Kenosha staff, Hospice Alliance, and special care givers Laurie Bartousek, Eileen Cross, Laurie Davison and Dan Weyant.

He was preceded in death by parents Emmett Burt and Ellie Nolen, wife Mary Nolen, and siblings Anna Mae Nolen, J K Nolen, Mary Stephens, Jewel Quick, and Billy Nolen.

He is survived by siblings Marie (Eunice) Gilmore and Lois Collins and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by three children, Rick (Jill) Nolen, Dorothy Nolen, Kathy (Terry) Printz and Grandchildren Kelly (Tyler) Gray, Haley Nolen, Ryan Philyaw, Christine Wells, David (Crystal) Printz, Robert (Kalie) Printz and great grandchildren, Jessica Gray, Kyle and Zachary Printz, and Everett Printz.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. at Congdon  Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A funeral service will follow at 4:30 p.m. Entombment  will take place Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Camp Zion, c/o Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, IL 60099.
