Obituary of E. Robert Kristensen

E. Robert “Kris” Kristensen went to his Lord Jesus on May 22, 2017.

He was born in 1930 to Rev. Elias K.J. and Inga Kristensen in Ryder, North Dakota. He was an active member of Redeemer Luther Church, Pastor Wayne Jahn, he had served as Elder and Sunday School Teacher. Kris taught at Neal Jr. High School. Kris served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Waukegan, he later was a conductor on the Northwestern R.R. He was a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota; boy scout leader and a lifetime Gideon member.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Florence (nee Koss); son, Daniel (Jo-Anne), and daughter, Linda (Cliff) Fortgang; grandchildren, Eric and Allyson Kristensen, Melanie (Jake) Gaddy, and Emily (Nick) Philen; great-granddaughter, Emma-Grace Gaddy; brothers, Lowell and Luther; sister, Connie; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Beth, and Pam; and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Bob and Doug Koss.
