Obituary of Mary H. Ryan

Mary H. Ryan, passed away September 11, 2017 in Edina, Minnesota.  Mary was born in Itawamba County, MS, moving to Zion, IL in 1951.  She worked for Abbott Labs, retiring in 1979.  Mary was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Zion, and the Red Hat Society.  She enjoyed traveling and loved her flower garden.

Mary is survived by her children; Susan Griggs of Edina, MN, Mary Ann (Les) Allen of Valparaiso, IN, and Steven M. (Mary) Ryan of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Lori (Mark) Peterson, Pam (Dave) Gring, Steven Ryan Jr., and Timothy (T.J.) Ryan; great grandchildren, Matthew and Travis (Kira) Peterson, Ryan, Lauren, Nicholas and Grace Gring; great-great grandchildren, Scarlett, Sydney and Quinn Peterson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lucy Franks; husband, Lamar; brothers, Vernon and Marvin Franks and sister, Syble Clark.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
