Obituary of Arthur Lackenbach

Arthur F. Lackenbach, 81, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away surrounded by his family on June 29, 2023. He was born on February 4, 1942 in Chicago, IL.

He married the love of his life Marilyn S. Neeve on May 18, 1968 in Zion, IL. He retired from multiple places including Abbott Labs, and medical specialties. Arthur was a member of the Moose Lodge. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September of 1962 to October of 1966, and in the Vietnam conflict 1965- 1966.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Marilyn S. Lackenbach; children, Angela (Tony) Bean, Craig Lackenbach; grandchildren, Sean (Allison) Coutley, Johnathon Bean, Nathan Bean, Shelby (Marco) Jaimez, Lillian Lackenbach, Luke A. Lackenbach; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Debbie (John) Benson, Donald Lackenbach; ten nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his biological parents, Ayah and Katheryn Suleyman; adopted parents, Harry and Irene Lackenbach; and niece Katheryn Lackenbach.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099.
