Obituary of Everett Allen Whitmire

Everett Allen Whitmire of Lindenhurst, Illinois passed away on 16 Oct 2023 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Everett was born on 27 Jul 1931 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Allen and Mary Whitmire.

 Everett is a graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI, class of 1949. Everett served in the United States Marine Corps from 21 Aug 1950 to 20 Aug 1954, and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Everett married Eileen Ruth Flaherty on 20 Mar 1971 in Rockton, IL. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan, IL.

 Everett is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Whitmire; children, Ruth Ann Whitmire (Ron Douglas) Fowler, Mark Thomas (Karen Lynn Losch) Whitmire, Eric Karl Whitmire, Christopher Michael (Diana Lynn Kelley) Whitmire, Curt Everett (Amanda Lea Briggs) Whitmire and Grant Kenward (Rebekkah Edith Brewer) Razee; grandchildren, Matthew Conrad Winn, Cody Mark Whitmire, Alex Allen (Jennie Marie Martens) Whitmire, Samantha Caitlyn Whitmire (Ashley Brooke Evans) Evans, Isabella Josephine Whitmire, Devin Michael Winkler (Jovanna Guevara), Alysa Rae Winkler, Avery Lucia Whitmire, Maxwell Benton Whitmire, Dylan Bradley Razee, Danielle Leann Razee, Jason Michael Razee, Savannah Griffin, Preston Griffin and Liam Griffin; great grandchildren, Jack Thomas Whitmire, Liam Allen Whitmire, Xavier Aguilera, Xander Devin Winkler, Josie Marie DiFatta-Razee, Logan Michael Reese and Charlotte Jane Reese; many nieces and nephews; and friends, including Janet and (the late Owen) Kinsman, Roselyn and John Pottala and Bette Jeanne and Roger Bennett.  Everett also leaves behind many friends and coworkers from Dexter Midland, in Waukegan, IL, where he worked from 3 Feb 1958 to 31 Dec 1996.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Monroe Whitmire – deceased 22 Oct 1963 and Mary Jennie Anderson Whitmire – deceased 22 Aug 1986; siblings, Wilbur Harvey (the late Dorothy Helen Miner) Whitmire – deceased 24 Dec 1986, Virginia Jewell Whitmire (the late Walter Frank) Glasman – deceased 6 Dec 2002, Baby Boy Whitmire – deceased 4 Apr 1918, Violet Marie Whitmire (the late Nelson Burton) Hobbs – deceased 26 Sep 2014, Carroll Monroe Whitmire – deceased 14 Dec 1925 and Velma Lucille Whitmire (the late John Adam) Pfeiffer – deceased 14 May 2023.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
