Obituary of Johnnie Graves

Johnnie Maude Graves, affectionately known as "Linda" was born on January 28, 1951 to the late John Tillman and Nellie Maude Williams-Tillman in Yancopin, Arkansas. She was called home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2013. Johnnie united in holy matrimony to Lewis Graves Sr. on January 1, 1972. To this union two wonderful children were born. Johnnie accepted Christ at an early age and served as a faithful member at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Over the years she was a member of the Choir and on the Mother's Mission. She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: her husband Lewis Graves Sr., 1 daughter Natasha (Kelly) Brown of Waukegan, IL 1 son Lewis (Sherita) Graves Jr. of Conway, AR, 7 grandchildren, Janaye, Kelly L, Kelley V, Kennedy, Bryant, Camran & Lauren, sister Joella Tillman of McGhee, AR, brother Sherman Tillman of Waukegan, IL, sister in law Tresa(Keith) of Chicago, IL . A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents John & Nellie Maude Tillman, 7 sisters Georgia Tillman, Wydell Tillman, Clemmie Garvin, Limmie Tillman, Clara B. Tillman, LueDella Raftie, Joanne Issac and one brother Norman Tillman. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth Ave, North Chicago, IL 60064 Pastor Eugene Roberson officiating. Wake Service will be held at 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
