Obituary of Doris Harvey

Doris I. Harvey, 93, of Beach Park, IL died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in Zion. She was born February 29, 1920 in Mankato, MN. Doris met and married the late Floyd Harvey in California in 1946 where their first son William C. Harvey was born. Later they moved back to Minnesota where their second son Shane E. Harvey was born. In 1956 they settled in Beach Park, IL where their daughter Candace D. Harvey and their son Frank T. Harvey were born in Waukegan, IL. Survivors include children William C. (Lynda) Harvey of Fargo, ND, Shane E. (the late Nancy) Harvey of Wadsworth, IL, Candace Harvey of Wadsworth, IL, and Frank T. Harvey of Idaho; seven grandchildren William Scott Harvey, Jerry Harvey, Bryan Harvey, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Brescia, Patricia Harvey, Rhonda Williams and April Stone; and eight great-grandchildren. Doris was the last survivor of her generation and was preceded in death by her parents William and Myrtle Cumming, brothers Gordon, Stuart, Stanley and infant William, and sisters Jean and Sylvia. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL.
