Obituary of William Moody

William Robert Moody, 72, of Zion, IL passed away August 28, 2013 at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. William was a long time resident of Zion, IL. He joined the United States Navy in 1959 where he became a chief petty officer and was part of the medical field. After 20 years of service, he retired in 1979. In his free time, William took long walks, enjoyed reading, working out and especially liked to fish. William is survived by his son, William Sean Moody of Chicago, IL; and daughter Tawana Moody. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kiyoko; and parents, William G. And Fannie Mae Moody. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sheridan Cemetery. Memorial donations to your choice of a cancer charity would be appreciated.
