Obituary of Patricia Ianson

Patricia Ann Ianson,85, of Zion, IL, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family. Patricia was born July 11, 1928, in Waukegan, IL, and married Lyle Ianson on November 28, 1946, in Waukegan. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park, and had worked as a manager for the Knights of Columbus. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A devoted Catholic, she graduated from Immaculate Conception School in Waukegan. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and working on her crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Lyle; children, Susan (Arvin) Walters, Russell (Laurie) Ianson, Ruth (Jeff) Dykiel, Steve (Jackie) Ianson; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; daughters-in- law, Donna Ianson and Cheryl Kee; several nieces and nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by sons, Kenneth and Joseph Ianson; step-father, Joseph Sabo; mother, Mildred Sabo; father, Carroll Cole; and brothers, Richard, Donald, and David Cole. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd. Beach Park, IL. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
