Obituary of Albert McNabb

Albert Radley McNabb, age 96, of Zion, IL went to be with his Lord while at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born June 24, 1917 in Zion, IL and married his late wife, Evelyn Ardis on February 21, 1942. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II under General Patton's command in Europe, and was an honored member of the American Legion. He was a long-time member of the Christian Assembly of God Church in Zion. Radley owned and operated the Radley McNabb Barber Shop in the McNabb Plaza in Zion, and was also a faithful custodial servant for Christ Community Church in Zion for 41 years. Radley enjoyed family vacations to Door County, Wisconsin for over sixty years. He also knew and fellowshipped with many folks in Zion over his lifetime and loved the Lord with unquenchable joy. If you met him, you probably ended up with a smile or a hug. He is survived by his sons, Dennis McNabb of Union Grove, WI, and Terry (Lois) McNabb of Zion, IL; grandchildren, Matt McNabb, Hollie (Derek Oleson) McNabb, Heather (Rick) Johnson, and Heidi Lynn; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Markobrad and Louise (Jim) LaGro both of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Edward McNabb also of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ardis in 1996; brothers, Gladstone, Lester, Raymond and Paul McNabb; and sister, Elsie Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion, IL. Memorial donations are suggested to the Camp Zion Ministry of Christ Community Church, WoundedWarriorProject.org or Shepherd's Ministries of Union Grove, Wisconsin.
