Obituary of Kristopher NeSmith

Kristopher Scott NeSmith, 21, of Beach Park, IL died March 1, 2014 in California. Kris was born May 4, 1992 in Waukegan, IL. He graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 2010 then went on to serve his country with the United States Marine Corp. Kris enjoyed fishing and drag racing, he participated in basketball, football, baseball and wrestling. His favorite teams were the Eagles and the Bulls. Kristopher is survived by his wife, Chassidy NeSmith; father, P. Scott (Tammy Hepp) NeSmith; mother, Karie (Kozlowski) Slaughter; beloved grandfather, Grady Eugene NeSmith; brother, Eugene NeSmith; half-siblings, Alexis Kozlowski, Tiffany Kozlowski, Kayla Whitaker, and Blake Kozlowski; uncle, Gene (Cheryl) NeSmith; cousins, Tosha Wilson, Nicole Alexander, Tiffany NeSmith, Christina (Tom) Hucher, Alecia NeSmith, Bryant NeSmith, Dalton Alexander, and Alexis Alexander; and step-sister, Cassidy Hepp. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Juanita Reed; grandmother, Sherry NeSmith; aunt, Loretta NeSmith; and his grandfather, Walter "Wally K" Kozlowski. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private for the family.
