Jason was a short and brief influence in my life... At the time I was a considered a phenom in motocross/supercross... I was 17/18, i met Jason through some acquaintances throughout the nascar community considering some drivers were sponsoring guys like myself that didnt come from families with wealthy backgrounds after the economy collapse of 2008. Jason was a great guy, and a good friend. I wasn't invited to his funeral, likely because of the short glimpse friendship that we had, but almost 20 years later he still pops in my mind because he was a very likeable person. Always willing to slip in a good word for you if he could or just invite you along for the ride just to be apart of the journey. He was a standup guy and a great person. He and I were working together on his reality tv gig before he unexpectedly passed. I was sitting here tonight, many years after the shadow cast over my own racing career and thought about some of the old parties and get togethers we had back in the day, even some of the private conversations we'd have about life in general... Hes missed, and those that had the privilege to know him im sure he was just as impactful on their lives and memories. Granted I know this happened in 2008, but the fact that I still remember his generosity when he had virtually nothing to offer and the many things that took place is a clear sign that he was a good person. As we grow older and our circles around us dwindle, we look back on those like Jason and cherish their memories even more so because they were the real deal. Hard to find in these times. Thank you, Arden. You were a great friend and are missed
