Obituary of Jason Arden

Jason Michael Arden, 28, of Mooresville, North Carolina died in a tragic car accident on Thursday, June 26, 2008. He was born on March 6, 1980 in Libertyville. He was the son of Donna Smith Mason and was a long time resident of Gurnee, Illinois. Jason moved to North Carolina to follow his dream of being a crew chief for a NASCAR team. He started his career working on Sprint Cars in Wisconsin. In North Carolina he worked for Michael Waltrip Racing, Robbie Gordon Motorsports and most recently Stanton Barrett. Jason is survived by his mother, Donna; his brother Adam (Jennifer) Arden of Missouri; Grandparents James and Marcella Smith of Zion; nephew Jason Arthur Arden; niece Paige Nicole Arden and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with interment following at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
